Installing a washing machine for the first time can be a daunting task. In fact, we get many calls from our customers in Cardiff who often need assistance in installing their washing machines.
In this blog, we will take you through the process of installing your washing machine yourself, but if you need assistance please get in contact with the Cardiff Plumbers M&M Heating and Plumbing and we can help you with the entire process.
As with anything, please consult with the manufacturer’s installation instructions and you can’t go too far wrong. But if you’re still having trouble keep on reading.
In order to install your own washing machine you are going to need:
- A sponge
- A bucket
- Spirit level
When you have all of the above you are ready to begin. Firstly take your time to consider where you are going to position your washing machine. Are you going to position it near the tumble drier or are you going to position it as far away from your living room as possible so you don’t have to listen to the racket when it’s spinning your clothes.
Washing machine installation
- Connect your washing machine to the hot and cold water supply with the long hoses that would have come with your washing machine.
- With self-cutting valves attach the long hoses to the hot and cold water supply.
- Make sure you leave enough room to connect your washing machine to the electricity and slowly manoeuvre your washing machine into its final position.
If all of the above sounds too complicated please get in touch. Contact M&M Heating and Plumbers in Cardiff today.
